For companies
For companies with a concrete financing project
The approach is aimed at mid-sized companies, corporate groups and project companies that want to prepare a financing project professionally. This includes projects in industry, real estate, energy, technology and infrastructure.
Starting positions
Typical situations at the start of a mandate
- 01 The financing idea exists, the structure is not yet clearly documented.
- 02 Pitch deck, executive summary, figures or use of funds are incomplete or inconsistent.
- 03 Management needs a clear working and communication structure.
- 04 External conversations are to be prepared.
- 05 A body of data and documents has to be ordered for further review.
- 06 Communication and approval processes are not yet defined.
Requirements
Required foundations
Sound work on a mandate requires complete and current company information, financial figures, plans, project documents, contacts and timely approvals.
The requirements catalogue lists the minimum documents for taking on a project: commercial register extract, annual accounts or current interim figures, trial balance, project description, capital requirement, use of funds and the managing director profile.
Size range
Where a mandate starts to make sense
Mandates are handled in a capitalisation range of roughly CHF 250,000 to CHF 100 million. If your project sits below that, the preparation effort is out of proportion to the result.
The range describes the band in which projects are handled. It says nothing about the availability of capital, about terms, or about whether a financing comes about.
Capitalisation range covered
- Lower bound
- CHF 250,000
- Upper bound
- CHF 100 m

Frequent questions
First assessment
Does Zumsteg Consulting raise capital, or prepare the company?
The service consists of preparation, structuring and documentation on the side of the company seeking financing. Investment decisions, negotiations and closings take place directly between the company and the respective third parties.
Which documents are actually worked on?
Depending on the mandate: pitch deck, executive summary, key figure and information overviews and supporting communication documents. The scope is agreed before work starts.
Who decides on recipients, content and terms?
The client. Recipients, texts and documents intended for distribution are approved in documented form before use.
Who handles legal, tax or regulatory questions?
Appropriately qualified external specialists. Zumsteg Consulting can coordinate their involvement organisationally but does not provide these services itself.
What happens after a project is submitted?
